A group of CSTO PA international observers will take part in the monitoring of the election to the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic
At the invitation of Dastanbek Djumabekov, Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, a group of international observers from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization will take part in monitoring the election of deputies to the Jogorku Kenesh (parliament) of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The group includes representatives of the supreme legislative bodies of the CSTO Member States.
Konstantin Zatulin, first deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee for CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots, was appointed coordinator of the group of international observers from the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly.
During the election monitoring, the group of CSTO PA international observers intends to hold a series of meetings with the leadership of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda of the Kyrgyz Republic and to meet with representatives of political parties participating in the election campaign and heads of observer missions.
On the voting day, CSTO PA international observers will work at polling stations in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic, from the opening of polling stations till the end of vote count.
Monitoring results will be documented in the Conclusion of the international observer group.
In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, the election to the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic is scheduled for October 4, 2020.
