Imanaliev: CSTO PA observers work at polling stations in Yerevan and other regions of Armenia
Kanybek Imanaliev, coordinator of the CSTO PA observers and deputy Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs, Defence and Security of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, said that the polling stations in Yerevan where the CSTO PA international observers were present, opened on time but some observers had minor technical criticisms.
Kanybek Imanaliev emphasized that CSTO PA observers were the only observers at the polling stations where they were present, in particular at the school No. 5.
He also noted that CSTO PA observers will be monitoring the voting process at the early elections to the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia not only at polling stations in Yerevan, but also in other regions of Armenia.
As you may recall, June 20 is the day of the early election to the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia. The polling stations opened on time, at 8:00 a.m. Yerevan time.
There are 25 political entities, 21 parties and 4 blocs participating in the early election. At the polling station voters receive ballot papers corresponding to the number of political entities participating in the election, choose one of them, put it into an envelope and drop it into the ballot box.
Observers from the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly are present at polling stations from their opening until the end of the vote counting.
