During a command and staff exercise, the CSTO CRRF Command trained the organization of a joint operation
On November 12, the command and staff training involving the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Force (CRRF) Command was completed at the base of the Moscow Region Airborne Troops.
According to the CSTO website, the main purpose of the training, led by Colonel General Anatoly Sidorov, Head of the CSTO Joint Staff, was to test the future structure of the CSTO CRRF control station deployed on the premises of the Airborne Troops command post.
Representatives of the defence agencies, Ministry of Internal Affairs, EMERCOM and other involved departments of the CSTO Member States, the Joint Staff and the CSTO Secretariat took part in the training.
In the course of the training, CSTO CRRF Command officials decided to conduct a joint operation.
Summing up the results of the command and staff training, Colonel General Anatoly Sidorov noted that thanks to joint coordinated work, potential approaches to the organization of CSTO CRRF management were successfully tested. “The event will undoubtedly improve the skills of the CSTO CRRF Command officers and their ability to plan joint operations and use modern technical management tools. All this will contribute to enhancing the organization of the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces) management,” concluded the Chief of the Joint Staff.
