Today, on December 19, a meeting of the Council of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly began in Moscow.
Erlan Koshanov, member of the Council of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly and Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, noted the importance of the priorities of the forthcoming Kazakh presidency in the Organization.
These priorities include peacekeeping regulation.
The Speaker of the Mazhilis stressed that building a dialogue with the parliaments of foreign states, sharing the goals and principles of the Assembly was a priority of the forthcoming presidency of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the CSTO.
“We believe that the Parliamentary Assembly makes a significant contribution to the development and harmonization of the legislation of the CSTO Member States, taking into account their interests,” Erlan Koshanov said.
