CSTO Course Launched at the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces
Today, April 3, the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation has launched the 8th training course for the senior officials and leading experts of the CSTO Member States’ defence agencies, law-enforcement bodies, security councils’ offices, security and special services and bodies that have the status of military personnel under national legislation, authorized to prevent and eliminate emergency situations
Takhir Khairuloyev, CSTO deputy Secretary General, opened the official ceremony.
According to the official CSTO website, the special training programme includes courses on political and military issues, crisis response to modern challenges and threats, military cooperation in the CSTO format and military strategy, governance and economy.
Course instructors include employees of the CSTO Secretariat and the CSTO Joint Staff.
In 2023 the course will last 20 days instead of the usual two weeks, as the training programme has been significantly expanded.
The course is designed to improve the knowledge of senior officials and leading experts of the CSTO Member States’ governmental bodies responsible for the development and strengthening of the collective security system and allied relations within the CSTO.
