Andrei Lukin: Kazakhstan Is Ready to Work Together on the CSTO Development
Speaking at the Coordination Meeting of Chairpersons of Defence Committees of the CSTO Parliaments in Bishkek, Andrei Lukin, Chairman of the Committee on International Relations, Defence and Security of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, reported that Kazakhstan, chairing the Organization in 2024, is ready to join efforts to develop the CSTO.
Andrei Lukin stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between the CSTO Member States in the field of security and defence, noting that joint efforts will help to counter new challenges and threats more efficiently.
The meeting discussed key initiatives aimed at improving action coordination of the member states in the field of military training and joint exercises. Andrei Lukin expressed confidence that Kazakhstan would actively promote the implementation of these initiatives and the creation of a more secure and stable environment in the region.
