EMERCOM established a joint group to help the people of Nagorno-Karabakh
According to the official website of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, on November 22, the Noginsk Rescue Centre inspected forces and assets ready to reinforce the EMERCOM group already deployed in Nagorno-Karabakh. Currently, 75 experts and 13 all-terrain vehicles have been prepared to be sent from the Noginsk Rescue Centre to the peacekeeping zone. Additional forces and assets continue to arrive.
The combined group has been formed by personnel of the Noginsk, Ural, Tula, Don, Neva and Volga Rescue Centres, the Leader Centre and the Ruzsky Support Centre for EMERCOM Command Posts, together with experts from the central administration and staff psychologists.
The EMERCOM forces and assets are planned to be sent to Nagorno-Karabakh shortly. The group has the necessary equipment and facilities to ensure Russian rescuers’ comfortable stay. All group personnel are tested for COVID-19.
You may recall that the first EMERCOM humanitarian convoy arrived in Stepanakert on November 21. All-terrain heavy lorries delivered 45 tons of cargo. Last Sunday, more than 300 tons of humanitarian cargo were delivered.
