Following the invitation of Ivica Dačić, President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, international observers from the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly will participate in the short-term monitoring of the early election of deputies to the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia on April 3, 2022.
Noting “the good cooperation between the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization thus far, I invite representatives of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly to observe the conduct of the election. And I hope that cooperation will continue in the future,” stresses the invitation.
International observers from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization – parliamentarians from the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan – plan to meet with representatives of the election headquarters of the political parties taking part in the election campaign, the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia. On April 3, the election day, the international observers from the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly will work at the polling stations in the capital of the Republic of Serbia, Belgrade, from the opening of the polling stations until the end of vote counting, after which the observers will issue their statement on the monitoring results.
