MSU and CSTO PA Secretariat will co-develop model laws

Viktor Sadovnichiy, Rector of Lomonosov Moscow State University, and Sergei Pospelov, Executive Secretary of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, signed an agreement on the MSU experts’ participation in the development of model laws of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly. The signing took place within the framework of the international conference World Policy Forum: World Politics Amidst Instability. Dilemmas of the New World Order that was organized by Leonid Slutsky, Doctor of Economics, President of the MSU Faculty of World Politics, Chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on International Affairs.
As you may recall, Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly and Chairman of the State Duma, has repeatedly referred to the quality of model lawmaking as one of the Assembly’s main tasks.
The signing of the Agreement on the involvement of academics and experts from MSU will serve to improve the quality of the development of model legislative acts of the Assembly and to fulfil this task within the framework of the decisions of the CSTO Collective Security Council.
