Challenges and Prospects of the New World Order Discussed at the CIS ATC Conference in Moscow
On October 23-25, the Moscow State Linguistic University is hosting the international scientific and practical conference “New World Order: Principles of Formation, Prospects, Challenges” organized by the Anti-Terrorism Center of the CIS Member States.
At the opening of the conference, the experts were greeted by Irina Kraeva, Rector of the Moscow State Linguistic University, Evgeniy Sysoev, Colonel General and Head of the CIS ATC, Dmitriy Kobitskiy, Secretary General of the Council of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly, and Sergei Pospelov, Executive Secretary of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly.
In his speech, the CSTO PA Executive Secretary noted that tensions on the external borders of the collective security regions, as well as incessant external attempts to provoke crisis situations and destabilize the internal political situation are, in fact, “instruments of pressure on our states striving for equal and indivisible Eurasian security.”
“In turn, achieving a more equitable multipolar world and maintaining global security architecture in line with the UN's predominant role relies on the active work of regional organizations, including the CIS, SCO and CSTO,” Sergey Pospelov emphasized.
The conference participants will discuss various concepts of the balance of power in the new world order, the role of integration associations in current conditions, new challenges and threats to security, countering the spread of terrorism ideology and its geographical expansion, as well as the role of media discourse in forming a communicative competence in a foreign language.
