CSTO PA Observers Praised the Military Exercises in Belarus
On September 1–6, the CSTO military exercises Boyevoye bratstvo 2023 were held in Belarus: Vzaimodeystviye 2023 joint exercise of the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Force; Poisk 2023 special exercise with intelligence forces and assets; Echelon 2023 logistics exercise; Barrier 2023 exercise with a joint formation of RCB protection and medical support; Skala 2023 rescue exercise.
The purpose of the manoeuvres is to improve the preparedness of CSTO forces for various scenarios of action on the territory of the Organization’s Member States.
A mission of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly observed joint exercise Vzaimodeystviye 2023 with the CSTO CRRF in order to monitor the military and political situation in the CSTO East European region of collective security and to identify the needs for improving the regulatory support for the military security of the CSTO Member States.
Representatives of non-CSTO member states – Iran, China, Saudi Arabia and Mongolia – also observed the military training.
Anatoly Sidorov, Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff, said that the exercise was very successful and excellently preformed.
