CSTO PA observers believe that the election was conducted in accordance with Kyrgyzstan’s legislation
CSTO PA observers at the election in the Kyrgyz Republic reviewed the conclusion on the monitoring of the election to the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The observers agreed that the election to the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic was organized and held in full compliance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic and with international law.
In total, approximately 2.5 thousand polling stations were set up for the early election of deputies to Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic.
They note “the work carried out by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic to ensure voting rights of citizens of the Republic by setting up 59 polling stations in 29 countries.”
On November 28, 2021, international observers from the CSTO PA visited 37 polling stations in Bishkek. Polling stations opened on time and had all the necessary documents, equipment and information materials.
International observers from the CSTO PA were present at different stages of the voting process, from the opening of polling stations until the end of the vote count by the precinct commissions.
When visiting the polling stations in Bishkek, the international observers from the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly did not register any complaints about the quality of preparation of voter lists, the procedure of issuing ballot papers or the voting procedure.
The international observers from the CSTO PA concluded, “The voting ensured the free expression of will of the citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic; the preparation and conduct of the election were in accordance with the procedure provided for by the election legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic and norms of international election law; taking into account the COVID-19 pandemic, all necessary measures had been taken to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection.”
