CSTO PA develops Recommendations to Counter Risks of Uncontrolled Proliferation of Virtual Assets
The Standing Commission of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization met at the Parliamentary Centre in St Petersburg on October 20, with some participants joining via videoconferencing, to discuss the draft Recommendations to Counter Risks of Uncontrolled Proliferation of Virtual Assets.
The meeting participants included parliamentarians of the Member States of the Collective Security Treaty Organization: Republic of Armenia, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Russian Federation and Republic of Tajikistan. Aleksandr Markevich, Chairman of the CSTO PA Standing Commission on Socioeconomic and Legal Issues, deputy Chairman of the Standing Commission on Security of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, presided over the meeting. The participants heard a report on the progress on the draft Recommendations on the Criminalization of Actions Related to Attempts to Rehabilitate Nazism, Distort Historical Truth, Humiliate Honour and Dignity of Military Veterans, Equate the USSR’s Role to Germany’s in the Second World War and Belittle the Humanitarian Mission of the USSR in the Liberation of Europe; considered the draft Recommendations on Improving the CSTO Member States’ National Legislation on Closing Channels of International Terrorism; were informed of the work on the draft Model Guidelines of the Profile Authorities of the CSTO Member States in the Area of Investigative Support of Collective Security and on the work on the draft Recommendations on Harmonization of the CSTO Member States’ Legislation on the Issues of Withdrawal of Property of Citizens and Organizations During the State of War or Emergency (Requisitioning).
