CSTO Parliamentarians Monitor Military Exercises in Kyrgyzstan
Participants of the Coordination Meeting of Chairpersons of Committees on Defence and Security of the CSTO Parliaments are conducting military and political monitoring at the Vzaimodeistvie – 2024 command-and-staff military exercises of the Collective Security Treaty Organization in Balykchy.
Contingents (Collective Forces) from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan are taking part in the exercises.
Among them there are military contingents, special subunits of the units of Special Forces of the internal affairs bodies, security bodies and special services, emergency prevention and response bodies, as well as operational groups of the Joint Staff, CSTO Secretariat and CSTO Parliamentary Assembly Secretariat.
As you may recall, more than 1,500 servicemen from CSTO Member States and more than 300 units of military equipment are involved in the exercises, including about 10 aircraft and 10 sea vessels.
