CSTO PA parliamentarians will attend Collective Forces’ exercise in Tajikistan
CSTO Member States’ parliamentarians will take part in the exercise Vzaimodeistvie 2021 in the Republic of Tajikistan on October 22–23 within the framework of military and political monitoring of the situation in the CSTO Central Asian region of responsibility.
Parliamentarians from the specialized committees (commissions) of the parliaments of the Organization’s Member States – the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan – will take part in the military and political monitoring as part of the CSTO Collective Rapid Deployment Force (CRDF) exercises.
Exercise of the CSTO Collective Rapid Deployment Force (CRDF) Vzaimodeistvie 2021 is part of a series of exercises conducted by the Collective Security Treaty Organization at the training grounds of the Republic of Tajikistan in October.
During the Vzaimodeistvie 2021 exercise, parliamentarians will observe the preparation and conduct of a joint operation to contain a border armed conflict in the Central Asian collective security region, followed by the elimination of terrorist armed formations that have invaded the border areas of a CSTO Member State.
More than 2,700 servicemen and 500 units of equipment are involved in the exercise.
The exercise will involve reconnaissance forces (that have already begun practicing their narrative during the exercise Poisk 2021), the CSTO Collective Rapid Deployment Force (CRDF) and logistical support force (LSF) as part of the exercise Echelon 2021.
The exercise will also involve the assault and army aviation of the Russian joint airbase Kant stationed in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic and constituting the air component of the CSTO Collective Rapid Deployment Force in the Organization’s Central Asian region of responsibility, as well as long-range Tupolev Tu-22MZ missile-carrying bomber aircraft.
