Prospective model acts of the CSTO PA presented to international experts
A representative of the CSTO PA Secretariat spoke about the development of prospective model acts at an international conference at MITSO.
On April 28, at the international academic and practical conference at the International University MITSO (Republic of Belarus), Vyacheslav Kocharyan, Secretary of the CSTO PA Legal Centre for Information and Analysis, talked about the development of prospective model laws of the Organization.
According to him, the 2025 CSTO PA Action Plan provides for the development of more than 30 model legal acts.
For instance, development of model acts in the area of international public law is planned to provide protection of electoral processes and sovereignty; harmonization of criminal legislation of the CSTO Member States establishing liability for crimes against peace and security; and definition of conceptual framework in the area of national and international security and status of international employees.
Model acts in the area of combating terrorism and organized crime are planned to address anti-terrorist protection of fuel and energy complex facilities; security of critical information infrastructure facilities; suppression of channels for penetration of international terrorism and operational and investigative support of collective security.
Model acts in the area of information security and digital sovereignty will establish general principles for the development of national legislation on the accumulation and use of big data for national security; information protection; cybersecurity; Internet regulation; creation of artificial intelligence and robotics; regulation of circulation of virtual assets; and other policy documents.
