Improving the quality of expert work on model laws is a priority
A partially remote meeting of the Standing Commission on Socioeconomic and Legal Issues of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization was held in St Petersburg on March 2, 2021.
The meeting was chaired by Igor Lavrinenko, deputy Chairman of the Standing Commission on National Security of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus.
The parliamentarians heard expert reports about the draft recommendations:
– on improvement of the national legislation of the CSTO Member States concerning undesirable migration;
– on regulation of the activities of trusts on the territories of the CSTO Member States;
– on harmonization of legislation of the CSTO Member States governing confiscation of property of citizens and organizations under martial law or during emergency (requisitioning);
– on improving the organizational, legal and methodological frameworks to consider the provisions of model acts when improving the national legislation of CSTO Member States.
A draft new version of the Regulation on the Expert Advisory Board under the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization was reviewed.
