During the working visit of a delegation of the Belarusian Ministry of Internal Affairs to Dushanbe, Ivan Kubrakov, Minister of Internal Affairs of Belarus, met with Rakhimzoda Ramazon Hamro, Minister of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan.
As a result of the meeting, a letter of intent was signed, reflecting the main vectors of bilateral cooperation. Ivan Kubrakov noted that the international situation remains tense and emphasized the importance of joint work in the fight against extremism, terrorism, drug trafficking and other types of crime.
“Almost all known challenges and threats to global public security have become more acute. Extremism, terrorism, drug trafficking, IT crimes, illegal migration and other types of transnational crime have no borders and manifest themselves in the most radical forms,” said the Minister of Internal Affairs of Belarus.
Ivan Kubrakov is convinced that the current crime development trends require law enforcers to take efficient measures. He also emphasized the importance of joint work and expressed readiness to further deepen the partnership.
“There have not and cannot ever be closed topics for discussion between our ministries, we are ready to share our experience in crime detection and prevention. No state can develop without ensuring security. The heads of our states are not just colleagues, they are friends. The task is the same - to make the citizens of Tajikistan and Belarus feel safe wherever they are,” Mr. Kubrakov declared.
Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan noted that the joint work of the internal affairs bodies of the two friendly states gives tangible results.
“Relations between the internal affairs bodies of the two countries within the framework of our strategic partnership are dynamically developing,” Rakhimzoda Ramazon Hamro added.
