Vladimir Putin, Chairman of the CSTO Collective Security Council and President of the Russian Federation, sent congratulations to CSTO Parliamentary Assembly

In his welcome address to the participants of the meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, Vladimir Putin, Chairman of the CSTO Collective Security Council and President of the Russian Federation, said that the organization is fulfilling its key task of improving the security of the CSTO Member States.

“Amid growing common challenges such as international terrorism and extremism, drug trafficking and illegal migration, we attach great importance to the work of the Parliamentary Assembly to ensure the timely ratification of documents adopted by the CSTO and the harmonization of national security legislation,” said the Chairman of the CSTO Collective Security Council.

The CSTO Member States must have common approaches to addressing threats, resist outside attempts to interfere in national affairs and coordinate efforts to combat coronavirus,” said Vladimir Putin, addressing the participants of the thirteenth plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization. The remotely meeting of the CSTO PA is being held today, on November 30. The session is attended by the heads of the parliaments of the CSTO Member States: the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan.
