Armenian representative Viktor Biyagov was elected Chairman of the CSTO Permanent Council
During a CSTO Permanent Council session on October 12, Viktor Biyagov, Permanent and Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Armenia to the CSTO, was elected by rotation as Chairman of the CSTO Permanent Council due to the transfer of presidency in the Collective Security Treaty Organization in 2021–2022 from the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Armenia.
The CSTO press service reports that Stanislav Zas, CSTO Secretary General, participated in the session of the CSTO Permanent Council on October 12.
Viktor Biyagov, Permanent and Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Armenia to the CSTO, was elected by rotation as Chairman of the CSTO Permanent Council due to the transfer of presidency in the Collective Security Treaty Organization in 2021–2022 from the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Armenia.
Khasan Sultonov, Permanent and Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan, handed him the wooden gavel symbolizing the adoption of the CSTO Permanent Council’s decision.
Khasan Sultonov was thanked for his fruitful and constructive work as the Chairman of the Organization’s Permanent Council in 2020–2021.
The Permanent Council session addressed congress and exhibition activities of the CSTO and the preparation of the draft statement of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Organization’s Member States.
