Today, speaking at the plenary session of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2019), the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stressed the importance for the Republic of Armenia of developing relations with the Russian Federation, as well as its membership in EAEU and CSTO.
“Armenia is committed to deepening strategic relations with Russia and furthering cooperation within the Eurasian Economic Union,” Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on Friday in his speech at the St Petersburg International Economic Forum.
“It is very important for countries like Armenia to institutionalize access to world economic centres. This primarily concerns our cooperation with Russia and our participation in the EAEU. We are determined to improve our strategic partnership with Russia and to participate in the Union as productively as possible. We will do our best to ensure maximum integration between the EAEU participants,” noted the head of the Armenian Cabinet of Ministers.
According to Mr Pashinyan, “this equally applies to Armenia’s membership in the CSTO.”
