On May 7, Russian leader Vladimir Putin officially took office as President of Russia.
After taking the oath of office, he assumed the post of President of the Russian Federation.
Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, commented on the inauguration of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"President Vladimir Putin, who received the support of the vast majority of Russian citizens in the elections, officially took office. Today is the beginning of a new stage of Russia's development, and its goals have been clearly defined by the Russian President," Vyacheslav Volodin noted.
The inauguration ceremony was held in the Grand Kremlin Palace.
As you may recall, the Russian presidential election was held on March 15-17, 2024. International observers from the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly monitored its holding in Moscow and the Moscow region. In their Report, the observers noted that the preparation and holding of the elections in Russia were carried out in accordance with the electoral legislation of the Russian Federation, as well as with the international commitments of the state.
