Working Group under the CSTO Council of Defence Ministers considered provisioning of the Collective Forces
The working group on material support of the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces) under the CSTO Council of Ministers of Defence met on November 15 to discuss domestic approval of the draft regulation on material support for the formations of the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces) and its readiness to be submitted for consideration to the Council of Ministers of Defence and the Committee of Secretaries of CSTO Security Councils; development of the draft recommendations on the procedure for mutual settlement for transferred material supplies between the contingents of the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces); and accumulation of necessary material reserves in CSTO States for the deployment of formations of the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces).
The meeting was held via videoconferencing and was moderated by Colonel General Mikhail Mizintsev, Chairman of the working group and deputy Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation.
Meeting participants included representatives of the leadership of the defence agencies of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan, officials from the Joint Staff and the CSTO Secretariat.
The meeting discussed the main areas of cooperation in the field of military science for the improvement of the material support system of the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces) and the results of the special exercise Echelon 2022 with the CSTO CRRF material support forces which took place in October 2022 in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The next meeting of the working group on material support of the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces) under the CSTO Council of Ministers of Defence is scheduled to take place in the Republic of Belarus in 2023.
