Ravshan Rajabzoda: Observers from Russian political parties are active at polling stations
Ravshan Mukhitdin Rajabzoda, deputy Chairman of the Committee on Legislation and Human Rights of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan and a CSTO Parliamentary Assembly observer, notes the high level of training of observers at the elections of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the high level of organization of the elections themselves.
“Observers from different political parties are well-trained and well-prepared, they behave calmly. We have spoken to various persons and they all admit that a level playing field has been created for all political parties. Observers from candidates, ‘single-mandate’ parties are also present at polling stations,” he notes.
Mr Rajabzoda said that party observers he spoke with acknowledged that the elections were conducted in accordance with Russian law. “We all feel it ourselves,” he stressed.
“Many have spoken positively about the Public Observation Centre, acknowledging its effectiveness, the parliamentarian added. “In case of even minor violations, one can watch the recording. Observers everywhere say the elections are well organized. I talked to observers from the CPRF, New People and United Russia parties. They noted that it was well-prepared technically,” said Ravshan Rajabzoda.
The CSTO Parliamentary Assembly observer emphasized that most party observers are young people: “Most of the observers from different political parties are young, which shows that young people care about participating in the country’s political life.”
