Russian Senator Dzhabarov stated the importance of consolidating the positions of the CSTO States in international organizations
During the Coordination Meeting of representatives of parliamentary delegations of the CSTO Member States to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly that was held remotely and was chaired by Mahmadali Mahmadullo Vatanzoda, first deputy Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan and head of the parliamentary delegation of the Tajikistan to the OSCE PA, deputy head of the delegation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation to the OSCE PA, first deputy Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Vladimir Dzhabarov stated the importance of consolidating the positions of the parliamentary delegations during the OSCE PA session.
“I would like to call on my colleagues and allies to make sure that we have each other’s back, that we support each other, because sooner or later they will come after each delegation. Sooner or later, they will try to dismember us. When we are together, we are strong. And if there is a vote on some resolutions that affect the national interests of Russia and Belarus, I would like the delegations of our allies to take a stand in our support, so we would feel it. This is important to us,” Mr Dzhabarov noted.
“Look at how Western countries work,” he added. “They support each other all the time. I would like us to be aligned on such international venues,” noted first deputy Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
The Coordination Meeting was attended by the heads of the parliamentary delegations of the CSTO States to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly: the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan.
