Russian Tank Crews Undergo a Field Exercise at the Alagyaz Training Range in Armenia

Russian tank crews from the military base of the Southern Military District in Armenia have started to enhance their combat training during a field exercise at the Alagyaz high-mountain training range, the Russian Defence Ministry reports.

The servicemen will take part in weapons training and combat vehicle driving exercises. Tank crews will participate in troop tactical exercises, performing test firing with auxiliary barrels.

During the field exercise, the tank crews will practice moving in columns on different sections of mountainous terrain at various speed.

The purpose of the exercises consists in enhancing professional skills of the crews, combat coordination of the units, training in fire maneuvering and tactical techniques in various types of combat.
