Russian Military Arrive in Belarus to Take Part in the CSTO Exercise
On August 29, an echelon with the Russian military contingent arrived in Brest to participate in a joint CSTO exercise Vzaimodeistvie 2023 to be held on the territory of Belarus.
Earlier it was reported that the joint exercise of the CSTO troops Boyevoye bratstvo will be held in Belarus on September 1–6. Joint and special exercises are planned, which include training of various components of the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces). The manoeuvres will be held at firing ranges and terrain in Brest, Grodno and Minsk regions.
On September 6, members of the Coordination Meeting of the Chairmen of the Coordination Meeting of Chairpersons of Committees (Commissions) on Defence and Security of the Parliaments of the CSTO Member States under the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization will participate as observers in the joint exercise Vzaimodeistvie 2023 with the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Force to conduct parliamentary monitoring of the military and political situation in the East European region of the CSTO collective security and identify the needs for improving the legal and regulatory support for military security.
They will meet with the leaders and participants of the exercise and review the equipment and weapons of the personnel of the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Force.
