Ruslan Zhaksylykov: Kazakhstan’s participation in the CSTO is stable
Ruslan Zhaksylykov, Minister of Defence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, said that he sees no reason for a crisis within the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
“There is no crisis,” RIA Novosti quoted the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Kazakhstan as saying to journalists on Wednesday, responding to this question.
Ruslan Zhaksylykov emphasized that the Republic of Kazakhstan, for its part, fulfills its obligations within the framework of the Organization. “In terms of the participation of our state, the Republic of Kazakhstan, everything is stable. Kazakhstan is fulfilling its obligations and working according to plans that we have approved earlier,” said the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Asked whether the CSTO has any practicability, the Minister replied in the affirmative. “There is always practicability: either political or economic, so let us proceed from that. There should not be any speculation,” stressed Ruslan Zhaksylykov.
