Bakhtovar Safarzoda: International Legal Forum Addressed All Security Issues
The St Petersburg International Legal Forum was held for the 11th time in Russia’s Northern Capital.
This year the Forum brought together about 3,000 guests from 46 countries, including 20 ministers of justice.
Bakhtovar Amirali Safarzoda, Doctor of Law and Plenipotentiary Representative of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, noted the extraordinary scale of the event and a wide range of topical issues.
“The Forum discussed almost all modern security issues. It is vital that we develop new approaches to the approximation and harmonization of national legislations within the CSTO PA,” Bakhtovar Safarzoda stressed.
As you may recall, Dmitry Medvedev, deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, addressed the plenary session of the Legal Forum and noted the important role of regional organizations, such as the Eurasian Economic Union, the Union State with Belarus, the associations of states in the Middle East, Asia and Africa, with which Russia has “strengthened its partnership relations” against the background of the international-law crisis.
