The secretariat has started preparing the autumn events of the CSTO PA

The plenipotentiary representatives of the parliaments of the CSTO PA Member States discussed in the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly the preparation of the Assembly’s autumn events: the meetings of the CSTO PA Expert Advisory Board, Standing Commissions, the CSTO PA Council and the 14th plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly.
The meeting was attended by Hayk Chilingaryan, Plenipotentiary Representative of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia to the CSTO PA, deputy Executive Secretary; Viktor Kogut, Plenipotentiary Representative of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus to the CSTO PA; Nurbek Satvaldiev, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic to the CSTO PA; Mikhail Krotov, deputy CSTO PA Executive Secretary and Plenipotentiary Representative of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation to the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly; Safarzoda Bakhtovar Amirali, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan in the CSTO PA; Sergei Pospelov, CSTO PA Executive Secretary.
At the moment the parliaments of the CSTO Member States, except for the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic and National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, have finished their sessions before autumn, while the CSTO PA Secretariat continues intensive work on preparation for the meeting of the CSTO PA Council and plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly.
Outcome documents of the Council are being finalized, and preparation has begun of the draft documents for the meetings of the CSTO PA Standing Commissions on Defence and Security, Political Affairs and International Cooperation, and Socioeconomic and Legal Issues scheduled for October.
In the course of the meeting, on behalf of Emomali Rahmon, Chairman of the CSTO Collective Security Council, Sergei Pospelov, Executive Secretary of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, presented the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly with certificates of merit of the Collective Security Council titled For Active Participation in Strengthening the Military and Political Integration of the CSTO Member States.
The certificates of merit were presented to Mikhail Krotov, deputy Executive Secretary of the CSTO PA and Plenipotentiary Representative of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation in the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, Pyotr Ryabukhin, CSTO PA Executive Secretary from 2007 to May 2019, and Vladimir Bondurovsky, deputy Head of the CSTO PA Secretariat.
Sergei Pospelov emphasized that the heads of the CSTO PA Member States appreciated the work of the CSTO PA Secretariat.
Sergei Pospelov, Executive Secretary of the CSTO PA, was also presented with a CSTO Collective Security Council Certificate of Merit.
