Seven Kyrgyz Universities Signed Cooperation Agreements with the CSTO PA
The CSTO Parliamentary Assembly is expanding cooperation with higher educational institutions of the Organization's Member States, said Sergei Pospelov, CSTO PA Executive Secretary.
Today in Bishkek, where the chairpersons of committees on defence and security of the CSTO parliaments gathered, agreements were signed with the management of seven leading Kyrgyz universities: National Institute for Strategic Initiatives under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic; Jusup Balasagyn Kyrgyz National University; K. I. Skryabin Kyrgyz National Agrarian University; Osh State University; Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov; Bishkek State University named after Academician Kusein Karasaev; and Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after the First President of Russia B.N. Yeltsin.
The leading scientists will join the legislative work of the CSTO PA parliamentarians and experts.
“These agreements are designed to strengthen ties between educational institutions of the CSTO Member States and the Organization's Parliamentary Assembly, to promote even more active development of the scientific potential of the Collective Security Treaty Organization,” said Sergei Pospelov, CSTO PA Executive Secretary.
The heads of universities emphasized the importance of such initiatives to fight against modern challenges together using scientific approaches. This partnership, in their opinion, will create new opportunities for university teachers, opening access to international projects.
