Sergei Aleinik: CSTO States Are Working Together to Create a Charter for Eurasian Security
On February 7, at the meeting of Chairmen of the Committees on International Affairs, Defence and Security of the Parliaments of the CSTO Member States in Moscow, Sergei Aleinik, Chairman of the Permanent Commission on International Affairs and National Security of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus, spoke about joint efforts of the CSTO Member States to develop a Charter for Eurasian Security.
“The Charter is intended to become a program document containing a strategic vision of a multipolar system of international relations and indivisible security architecture in Eurasia, to outline the principles of building a fairer world order, to promote security, cooperation and harmonization of integration processes in Eurasia,” said Sergei Aleinik.
He added: “These ideas are well-received among many sensible people in Europe, not to mention Asia, where the overwhelming majority shares our approaches and supports the concept of a just multipolar world order.”
Sergei Aleinik emphasized that only through joint efforts it is possible to achieve sustainable peace and prosperity.
