In a joint statement, CSTO Council of Foreign Ministers expressed concern over continuing degradation of international-security system

Today, on June 10, the meeting of the CSTO Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs held in Yerevan (Republic of Armenia) adopted a joint statement expressing deep concern over the continuing degradation of the international-security system. According to the website of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the Statement reiterates the common position on upholding and strict observation of the principle of equal and indivisible security, stressing the inadmissibility of strengthening the security of some states at the expense of the security of others. The ministers of foreign affairs of the CSTO Member States spoke in favour of further strengthening the supreme role of the UN Security Council in the maintenance of international peace and security entrusted to it by the UN Charter.
