At a meeting of the sixth session of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus of the seventh convocation, Leonid Zayats was elected Vice Speaker of the Council of the Republic, BelTA informs.
As you may recall, Leonid Zayats was appointed a member of the Council of the Republic on December 13. Following a secret ballot, the senators unanimously supported his candidacy.
