NBC protection specialists from the Gyumri base in Armenia eliminated a simulated contamination at the Alagyaz training range
Servicemen of the nuclear, biological and chemical (NBC) protection unit of the Gyumri military base of the Southern Military District of the Russian Ministry of Defence have completed their special training at Alagyaz high-mountain training ground in the Republic of Armenia.
According to the press service of the Southern Military District of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, the main stage of the training involved specialists camouflaging weapons, military and special equipment, a fleet of combat vehicles and command posts.
Servicemen of the aerosol countermeasures unit deployed a system of camouflage and protective posts on the ground, creating an aerosol curtain.
In addition, the NBC protection specialists practiced nuclear, chemical and biological reconnaissance, detection of toxic substances in the environment; contained terrain contamination by performing gas and radioactive decontamination of weapons and military equipment and providing first aid in cases of suffocation by poisonous substances and burns.
Using modern reconnaissance chemical vehicles RHM-6, the servicemen performed special tactical and weapons training and used aerosol countermeasures against visual control and tracking means of the simulated enemy in the daytime and at night.
The special exercise involved NBC reconnaissance vehicles and other special equipment and weapons.
