Vladimir Andreichenko, Speaker of the Belarusian parliament, held a meeting with the CSTO PA Executive Secretary

Vladimir Andreichenko, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, met with Sergei Pospelov, Executive Secretary of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, in Minsk on February 15.

 

They discussed the preparations for the upcoming session of the Council of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, to be held in Minsk in May this year.

As you may recall, Belarus holds chairmanship in the CSTO, and the Council traditionally meets in the chairing country.

 

“We also discussed the results of the meeting of the Chairpersons of the Committees on International Relations, Defence and Security held in Moscow, where proposals of the Belarusian side were approved and which will be included in the agenda of the forthcoming meeting of the Council,” Sergei Pospelov said.

 

Other events of the working bodies of the Assembly to be held in the Republic of Belarus as part of its chairmanship of the Collective Security Treaty Organization were also discussed.
