Talant Mamytov expressed confidence in the objectivity of assessment by the CSTO PA observers
On the eve of the Referendum on the Law On the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic, international observers from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization met with Talant Mamytov, Toraga (Speaker) of Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic. During the meeting, the Toraga noted the importance of the work of international observers from the IPA CIS and the CSTO PA and expressed confidence in their objectivity and impartiality.
Participants of the meeting discussed cooperation within the Organization and expressed readiness to share their experience in preparing and holding national-level referenda.
The group of international observers from the CSTO PA includes representatives from the parliaments and chambers of parliaments of the CSTO Member States: Republic of Armenia, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, Russian Federation and Republic of Tajikistan.
The referendum on amendments to the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic is scheduled for April 11. As you may recall, on March 11, the deputies of Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic approved the draft law on the scheduling of the referendum On the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic.
