The Air Base of the Southern Military District in Armenia Prepared Its Aircraft for the Summer Training Period

Military experts at the base of the Southern Military District (SMD) in Armenia have carried out activities to prepare personnel and aviation equipment for the new training period, according to the website of the Russian Defense Ministry.

All aircraft and helicopters have been switched to summer operation mode, with engineering staff having prepared the combat vehicles for the first flight shift.

During preparations, engineers checked the operability of control systems, units, assemblies and equipment – more than 50 operations for each vehicle in total.

Young pilots and aircrew will be able to begin training flights after retraining, health checkups and passing the flight tests on tactical aircraft.
