CSTO PA Secretariat Signed Cooperation Agreements with Tajikistan's Universities in Dushanbe
The CSTO Parliamentary Assembly Secretariat is expanding cooperation with higher educational institutions of the Organization's Member States.
On October 10, Dushanbe hosted the signing of cooperation agreements of the CSTO with the Tajik National University, the Russian-Tajik (Slavonic) University, the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Center for Strategic Research under the President of Tajikistan.
According to Sergei Pospelov, CSTO PA Executive Secretary, the leading scientists from these universities will join the legislative work of the CSTO PA parliamentarians and experts, as well as take part in the Assembly's events.
“We want today's signing of agreements to become the foundation and the beginning of our joint work in several areas. One of them is the military and political monitoring of the situation in the CSTO area of responsibility,” said Sergei Pospelov, Executive Secretary of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly.
He also pointed out the importance of intensifying analytical work within the Organization, where the role of the scientific community is particularly significant.
“It is important to involve as many talented lawyers as possible in the creation of our model acts. We will soon create a new model program for the next five years, and this program will be adopted during Tajikistan's chairmanship in the CSTO, so we are eager to hear your suggestions on its content,” Sergei Pospelov shared.
The heads of universities noted the importance of such initiatives for joint effort to overcome modern challenges on the basis of scientific methods. They emphasized that this partnership will open new opportunities for the implementation of legal ideas of university teachers and students.
