CSTO Member States Begin Military Exercises in Kyrgyzstan
September 3 marks the beginning of the Vzaimodeistvie–2024 military exercises of the CSTO Member States in Kyrgyzstan.
Andrei Serdyukov, Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff, named the following tasks of the exercises: improving the mechanisms for making and implementing decisions on the use of forces and means; improving the coherence and interoperability of units in preparing and conducting joint operations; developing and testing new options for creating a Collective Forces management system.
In late September and early October, CSTO will hold the Nerushimoye bratstvo–2024 exercise in the Almaty region of Kazakhstan. There, CSTO peacekeepers will practice deploying contingents and accomplishing peacekeeping tasks.
A delegation of parliamentarians representing the CSTO Member States will monitor the September exercises in Bishkek and Cholpon-Ata. Military formations and monitoring missions will be provided with unobstructed movement within the territory of Kyrgyzstan.
