The Unbreakable Brotherhood 2020 exercise with the CSTO Peacekeeping Force will take place from October 12 to 16 on the territory of the Republic of Belarus at the Losvido proving ground, Interfax reports quoting the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation.
According to the information agency, military units from six CSTO Member States: the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan will take part in the exercise.
It will practice the preparation and conduct of a peacekeeping operation.
You will recall that on September 15–16, the Collective Security Treaty Organization under the leadership of Colonel General Anatoly Sidorov, head of the CSTO Joint Staff, held a strategic command staff training titled Preparation of Proposals and Development of Draft Decisions to the CSTO Bodies to Establish and Deploy Collective Security System Equipment and Personnel in the Caucasian Region of Collective Security.
At the first stage, the training participants assessed the political, military and strategic situation in the Organization’s area of responsibility, predicted its development and prepared proposals for priority political and diplomatic measures. At the second stage, proposals were prepared regarding the composition, rapid deployment and use of the CSTO Collective Rapid Response Force, as well as the provision of military and technical assistance to a CSTO Member State.
