CSTO PA Proposes Drafting a Concept on Ensuring Information and Psychological Security
A meeting of the Legal Centre for Information and Analysis of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly was held in St Petersburg on March 28. Among a number of topics, meeting participants raised the issue of information and psychological security.
Rimma Klyuchko, Associate Professor of the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno (Republic of Belarus), suggested that the Expert Advisory Board under the CSTO PA Council should develop a concept actually reflecting strategic areas of ensuring information and psychological security.
“The next stage in the implementation of this Concept could be specific Recommendations. Such Recommendations have already been adopted and are now being developed by the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly. For example, Recommendations to Counter Rehabilitation of Nazism and Humiliation of Military Veterans,” Rimma Klyuchko noted.
At the meeting in St Petersburg, the experts stressed that modern destructive information influences are aimed at changing the cultural code of the nation and should be criminally liable.
