CSTO PA Plenipotentiary Representatives and Members of the CSTO Permanent Council Meet in St Petersburg

In St Petersburg, the leadership of the Secretariat of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly and members of the CSTO Permanent Council held a regular working meeting on June 29. Aleksandr Grinevich, Chairman of the CSTO PA Permanent Council and Permanent and Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Belarus to the CSTO, supported the initiative to develop a joint work plan of the CSTO PA Secretariat with the Permanent Council of the Organization.

“We need even closer coordination of the joint work of the secretariats to achieve effective results. The presented materials serve as yet another testimony that we need to talk more closely with each other, jointly determine the directions that we need to follow, set common goals and confidently move towards their implementation,” Mr Grinevich stressed.

Sergei Pospelov, Executive Secretary of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, emphasized the necessity to hold such meetings on a regular basis to deepen interaction with other international organizations, expand monitoring cooperation and strengthen analytical work on the priorities of the Republic of Belarus within the framework of its CSTO presidency.

Permanent and Plenipotentiary Representatives of the CSTO Member States noted that they were ready to do everything in their power for close cooperation within the Organization.
