Viktor Kogut: A systemic comparison of the statutory bodies’ positions is important for our Organization’s development
At the working meeting between the plenipotentiary representatives of the CSTO Member States to the CSTO and plenipotentiary representatives of the CSTO Member States’ parliaments to the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, Viktor Kogut, deputy Secretary General of the CIS IPA and Plenipotentiary Representative of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus to the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, suggested establishing a systematic exchange of information between the CSTO statutory bodies and strengthening the information aspect of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly’s activities. “The international agenda, all those topical issues and global problems posed today are in one way or another related to the area of information, to spreading misinformation, to this or that manner of material presentation. Therefore, our joint work on responding to these things will undoubtedly yield results,” he said during a working meeting between the plenipotentiary representatives of the CSTO Member States to the CSTO and plenipotentiary representatives of the CSTO Member States’ parliaments to the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly.
Deepening cooperation between the Permanent Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly on the implementation of decisions of the CSTO Collective Security Council, as well as ways to enhance cooperation were discussed at a working meeting between the plenipotentiary representatives of the CSTO States headed by Viktor Biyagov, Chairman of the Permanent Council and Permanent and Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Armenia to the CSTO, and plenipotentiary representatives of parliaments of the CSTO Member States to the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly. The meeting took place in St Petersburg with some members participating remotely.
