Vladimir Andreichenko: challenging geopolitical environment increases the importance of the CSTO PA and IPA CIS
At a session of the Council of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, Vladimir Andreichenko, Chairman of the House of Representatives, reminded that in October there would be meetings of the commissions of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, BelTA reports.
The news agency quotes him as saying that the challenging geopolitical environment increases the importance of these interparliamentary structures. “And deputies need to constantly strive for creative potential and for making the lives of the citizens of our countries as comfortable and safe as possible,” he stressed.
“As for our international activities, we will continue to uphold the country’s national interests, both at international platforms and within the framework of bilateral interparliamentary cooperation,” said Vladimir Andreichenko.
