In a telephone conversation between Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, and Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, in the context of Republic of Armenia’s presidency in the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the leaders exchanged opinions on the progress of the CSTO’s peacekeeping operation in Kazakhstan, kremlin.ru reports.
They noted the peacekeeping contingent’s effective and concerted actions facilitating the normalization of the situation in the republic.
The discussion also touched on the current situation around Nagorno-Karabakh and certain matters related to the implementation of agreements, formalized in the statements by Russian, Azerbaijani and Armenian leaders of November 9, 2020, January 11 and November 26, 2021.
It was agreed to maintain contact at various levels.
