Military medics of the base in the Southern Military District in Armenia held practical exercises to improve the level of professional training.
A field hospital was set up at the Alagyaz training ground, where the servicemen practiced evacuation of wounded from combat vehicles, fighting holes and dugouts. Medical assistance was provided using special transportation restraints, as well as rescue vehicles and medical equipment.
The servicemen practiced skills in stopping external bleeding, performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation on mannequins and providing self-help by applying a tourniquet in case of massive blood loss. They also trained to stop bleeding with finger pressure, wound tamponade and other methods of care using simulated wound sets.
In addition, servicemen performed tasks on radiation control, treatment of sanitary transport and victims, as well as practiced actions of medical personnel at sites of screening and sanitary treatment of conditional patients.
The sessions involved more than 100 medical service specialists, including military doctors, sanitary instructors and paramedics, as well as about 30 units of military and special equipment.
