CSTO Council of Foreign Ministers Working Group discussed military and political situation in Afghanistan
Takhir Khairuloyev, CSTO deputy Secretary General and a representative of the Embassy of Afghanistan in Moscow, and Afghanistan national coordinators of the CSTO Member States took part in the regular remote meeting of the Working Group on Afghanistan (WGA) at the CSTO Council of Foreign Ministers on February 2, 2021.
According to the Collective Security Treaty Organization press service, the meeting reviewed the military and political situation in Afghanistan. The participants discussed the risks emanating from the territory of Afghanistan to the adjacent Central Asian states, as well as methods of addressing such threats and challenges.
The results of the Group’s work in the second half of 2020 were summarized and the WGA Work Plan for the first half of 2021 was adopted
