Vaccination of Russian servicemen against coronavirus at foreign military bases of the Central Military District has been completed.
Russian servicemen in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan have been vaccinated against coronavirus. They were administered the first and second components of the Gam-COVID-Vac vaccine. This is reported by the website of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation.
Preventive vaccination was provided to all categories of servicemen and their families, as well as civilian personnel of military bases and institutions who have not previously contracted COVID-19 and who gave their written consent to be vaccinated.
A total of about 5,500 people were vaccinated (about 3,500 in the Republic of Tajikistan and more than 2,000 in the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Kazakhstan).
The vaccination took place at Russian military medical facilities deployed in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.
