Vyacheslav Volodin congratulated compatriots on the Day of Russian Parliamentarism

April 27 marks the Day of Russian Parliamentarism, which was established on June 27, 2012, on the initiative of Vladimir Putin, President of Russia.

Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the CSTO PA, congratulated compatriots on this date.

“I congratulate you on the Day of Russian Parliamentarianism. In our country, people's representation has a centuries-old history. Developing and improving, parliamentarism has become an integral part of public authority.

The multi-party political system established in Russia increases the efficiency of lawmaking and the responsibility of deputies to the electorate.

Legislatively ensuring the achievement of national goals, security and well-being of citizens, deputies of all levels contribute to the consolidation of society, strengthening of sovereignty and development of Russia,” Mr. Volodin noted.

Yesterday St. Petersburg hosted a meeting of the Council of Legislators, which was held by Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma, and Valentina Matviyenko, Chairwoman of the Federation Council. 

Speaking at the Council, Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, encouraged Russian parliamentarians to develop relations with CSTO partners.
